Why do all séance "ghosts" - at least in London - speak with a cut-glass RP (received pronunciation) voice? Even in earlier times (interbellum) were no ghosts willing to communicate if they had a Cockney or non-standard accent? Or were the mediums channelling only well spoken ghosts? Perfect diction only need apply.
